Brazil has a culture different from other Spanish cultures in the region.  First of all it is Portuguese speaking country.  It is only the colony that became a metropolis of the Portuguese Empire.  From the beginning of settlement Brazilian government encourage any and every marriage: intercultural or interracial.  The famous Brazilian writer Jorge Amado said that there is no racial tension in Brazil because all Brazilians are mulattos. 

Brazilian Culture is vibrant and colorful.  Brazilians manage to marry conservative religion and pragmatic moral liberty.  Brazil is a country of immigrants.  On the south one can meet many Europeans, in Sao Paulo one can see many Japanese ( the larges Japanese colony in the worlds), in Bahia one can meet a lot of African descendants and in Amazon region one can see a lot of Indians.  However, unlike in the USA where one can clearly see black culture and white culture, in Brazil there is on culture and differences are regional rather than racial.
